Our Story
Born From Stillness
Noén was born in 2024, into a world more connected than ever and yet starved for touch. We message instead of meet, scroll past each other, and go whole days without being held. Intimacy and real human connection have become the things we hunger for most, and talk about least. That longing became a question, and the question became Noén.
For its founder, Natalie Mankarious, Coptic Egyptian by heritage, part of the answer had always been there in the story of Cleopatra: a woman whose power lived not only in her beauty, but in presence, in ritual, and in the way she inhabited her own body.
The Return
to Feeling
Beauty had grown clinical. The body had become something to correct, perfect and optimize. What was missing was an older idea: that to care for the body is also to honor it. To anoint it. To touch it with intention.
Noén is built on that idea. Intimacy is not a category or a moment. It is a practice of sensation and presence, a way of living more fully in the body.
So we make objects for that practice. Botanical oils and perfume oils, made in small batches in New York, to be worn close to the skin and returned to every day.
Even our name holds this duality. Noén joins two roots: the Ancient Greek to think and the Coptic Egyptian to tremble. Mind and body. Presence and feeling.
